Quick question.

How important is joined handwriting? Is it a prerequisite for the creative writing section? I'm being told no, but wanted to see what others think.

I don’t think so, just needs to be legible. But joined writing is generally faster, which is obviously helpful in exams.

Yes - that’s what the consensus seems to be.

It's not important at all to write joined-up, it's more important that their sentences are legible, with strong spelling and with good (basic) use of punctuation.

This website has some really useful 7+ practice tests if you're looking for them though do bear in mind that schools often write 7+ tests themselves and it's a basic assessment of a child's capability rather than a grilling IQ test.

Good luck!
