Habs 7+ Assessment experience

Hey mums,
Has anyone recently gone through the 7+ assessment at Habs? How did you prepare for it? Did your son go through tutoring?

I expect it is incredibly competitive but we would love for our son to go there if he can get through. Looking for any experience or advice on the process and prep.

Thank you!

Most people do but practically no one will tell you

habs 7+ prep is similar to 7+ admission to any other North London selective school. you can either opt to go for prep prep school or prepare yourself (which is doable if you have a fairly academic child and have time and energy to teach them) or use a tutor to outsource the prep. or it can be a combination of any of those prep approaches depending on a child and your resources. the first step would be to assess where your child is academically and then decide on a suitable preparation method. none of the preparation methods will guarantee admission to any particular school as your child may do brilliantly during prep and mock tests but feel under the weather on a day and fail the exam. saying all that Habs is slightly easier to get in than say Highgate or Westminster in case you sit them all
