Cambridge preps

Hello,

looking at moving to Cambridge for Sept 25. Working on biomedical campus. We are moving from a brilliant school in London (state) and would like to investigate preps so we can think about that as an option.

DS is academically very able with high-functioning autism manifesting as social and communication delay, but is well integrated into current school where he is achieving with limited additional support - Lego therapy and scaffolding.

any suggestions or reviews regarding Cambridge preps - or state schools? Thank you :)

Hi @JustASquareMoreChocolate I was wondering what you ended up deciding. We are in a similar situation, moving from North London, for Sept 25, one child sorted for a secondary independent school, but looking for the local primary state schools for my two little ones. I have heard good things about Newnham Croft and Morley Memorial but less so about Fawcett. Any advice or thoughts super welcome! (And from anyone else too!)😊

We still haven’t moved. Child rejected from some private schools after very positive noises before assessment and now trying to work out what to do.

from looking I think living near Newnham is good for the school most years, but we would get our younger one into St Alban’s (and hopefully eventually older child too) so want to live south of the Cam.
