Faith School

Hi,
I received phone call from the Faith school I applied for my children. They invited me for an interview with Headteacher. Does anyone know do they ask specific questions? I am not a religious person and I believe my children they have right to choose what they believe. I don’t know what should I say in the interview?
thanks for any advice

They might ask if they are baptised or practicing. It depends on the school and where you live (near or far etc) as to whether your dc will get a place.

Most faith schools take some dc from other/no faith background.

You can ask what religious elements your dc will see day to day.

Try to come across as open minded. Perhaps say you appreciate Christian values or other bland positive comment. The head will probably see through that but its better than being negative about the faith.

Did you have to fill in a supplementary information form when you applied? At ours you do so an interview would mean there were limited places and the Head wanted to check that the information on the form was correct. Is it a C of E or Catholic school?

Yes I did. It is C of E school

What did you say on the form about church attendance? Did it have to be signed by a member of the clergy?

Arzu83 · 05/06/2024 09:02

This question wasn’t in the form. No they just asked my signiture.
