Sept 2024 starters: have you heard from your accepted primary yet?

Hello, was just wondering if anyone had already received documents/info from the primary they accepted yet?

I have not received anything but another school in the LA already have sent forms to fill and even had a WhatsApp group (albeit created by parents) with 100 strong the week after offers were sent 🙄😂

Yes. Email on the day or very soon after, MS form to complete with info about child and current setting, parents’ evening last week and we are signed up to taster days taking place in 3 weeks’ time.

Yep! Email late April with lots of details, including two settling sessions in June/July and asking to confirm acceptance (in our area, the school confirms acceptance and checks documentation.)

There's also a parents Facebook group (created by the parents soon after offers day).

SATS week has just finished. Lots of schools waiting until after this before sending out lots of information

Yes, we've had a very lengthy online form to fill in from the school and have been sent new starter packs/dates for their taster sessions.

A lot of schools also wait until after half term as it's the last date for teachers resigning for Sept, and they may also be waiting for the second wave of acceptances (which are currently ongoing) to ensure everyone hears at the same time.

I wouldn't worry too much yet!

Our school sends info just after half term.

Had an ´all about me form’ and a online system for to fill in. No information about the date that reception starters start or if there is a staggered start or a parents evening to attend. I’m hoping this comes out immediately after half term as I need to book holiday or parental leave asap!

Nothing yet, but I wouldn't expect anything until after this week (half term) as the SATs period has just finished.

Like pp, hoping that whatever welcome "pack" we receive has dates for introduction sessions/stay and play in the summer term, as will need to line up AL or grandparents to help out.

I just got an email through at the very end of the day yesterday (Monday)... telling me to come to their parents information 'evening' about the transition to reception... next Tuesday. And very much during the working day. 🙄 So I am now off to attempt to completely rearrange the interview panel I am sitting on at that time. Aaarrggghhhh!
