Maidenhead schools

Hi all,

Am looking for some advice about the local schools in Maidenhead. Our closest infant school is Boyne Hill Infant School, which has an outstanding Ofsted rating, but the school only goes up to Year 2. I called the school to ask which Junior School most children move on to, and it's All Saints Junior School, which has an inadequate Ofsted rating.

For this reason I feel like Furze Platt would be a better bet, but we possibly live too far away to get accepted. Does anyone have experience of All Saints, or any other Junior Schools in the Maidenhead area? It appears that most Infant schools are of a good standard, but I am worried about the middle stage.

Thank you in advance!

I’ve had nephews and nieces go to both Larchfield and St. Luke’s and my DSis has been very happy with both schools. DSis and BiL decided they wanted same school throughout primary rather than first then junior, hence not going for Furze Platt or Boyne Hill

Our DC are in Furze Platt Infants & Juniors and we are very happy with them.

Alwyn Infants feeds into Courthouse Junior school I believe and both are good schools too from what I’ve heard. I had visited Alwyn when I was looking for a Reception place about 5 years ago and liked it, but it was slightly too far for us. A friend’s child is at St Luke’s and they like it. Another friend has DC at St Mary’s Catholic Primary and they like it although it’s now rated Inadequate.
