Hi, I have a job interview next week for a classroom assistant job role- what kind of questions would they most likely ask?

OP posts:

There will definitely be a question about safeguarding. Possibly they'll give you a scenario and ask what you would do

You may be asked how you'd handle challenging behaviour

What qualities do you have that make you suitable for the role?

You may be asked to lead a group session with pupils

What prior experience do you have of working with children?

As PP said there will definitely be a Safeguarding question such as “You see a child doing x, what do you do?”.

They will probably ask what skills make you suitable for the job, how you would cope with certain situations, what experience you have. Recently, a lot of school staff have been asked about mental health and how you balance it with the demands of the job.

Is it your first school job OP?
