Hi
Just wondered if preschool/ nurseries attached to private schools are ever Ofsted registered? Sorry new to this all!
Or are they exempt just like the school would be?

Thank you in advance!

If the nursery is part of the school and run by the school I think they can be ISI inspected.Independent Schools Inspectorate. Reports should be on the school website. Or nursery website if it’s not operated by the school. If it’s separate, it could be Ofsted.

@MamaBear878 if the school is registered with ISI, I don’t think ofsted have a role unless asked to inspect. The school my DD went to has never had its nursery inspected by Ofsted, only ISI. Where it’s a separate provider from the school, that’s different. As it is for holiday camps. I’ve looked at similar prep schools with nurseries and they haven’t been inspected by Ofsted either. If you are considering a prep nursery, look for an ISI inspection.
