Bute and Latymer Prep v. North London Schools?

Hi all! We are considering Bute and Latymer Prep for 7+ for our daughter and we were wondering how they compare against schools in North London like Highgate and SHHS in terms of numbers of children that apply and the academics required? Are they similar in that respect or would you say the North London schools are harder to get into it? Thank you!

They're not really comparable to Bute. SHHS and Highgate go to 18. They both have exceptional results at 18 (some of the best in the country). Highgate probably better academically than Latymer and SHHS these days, at least on results alone. Latymer and SHHS neck and neck in terms of a-level results.

Thank you. I was just wondering how it compared in terms of the number of applicants per place and how difficult the 7+ papers are at say Bute, compared to Highgate

I guess one chooses Bute if they want St Paul’s Girls at 11, as it sends a decent number there annually.
