Gayhurst or Thorpe House
We are considering Gayhurst or Thorpe House in GX for our son. Can anyone please give feed back of either of these school? It would be great to hear opinions from current parents. TIA.

I have one, soon to be two children at Gayhurst and we think it is a fabulous school. Amazing pastoral care and very nurturing. That's not to say there's not a focus on the academics, there is (really good number of scholarships awarded each year to y6's for their next schools and very strong 11+ results), but your child's happiness will be front and center.

The wrap around care is extremely helpful (especially as it is included in the fees). There's an excellent variety of break time and after school clubs to suit every child's interests. The sports offering is great and will be even better once the new sports hall is built (due by end of the year, followed by a 200 seater auditorium). There's a lovely family feel about the school and parental involvement is welcomed. If there's anything specific you wanted to know about, please let me know. I hope that helps.
