Hi, I’m looking to move my family to Bury St Eds from Herts in the near future with my OH and 3 LO. Looking to rent around the town before we buy.

OH will be commuting to Hitchin 2 days a week.
I’m an art educator with my own business, looking to expand my work in the area.

Eldest child will be starting in Y4, and twins starting in Y2 in Sept 24.

All 3 children have been diagnosed ADHD and SPD, but without an EHC plan in place when moving. All 3 are highly creative, love science & sports & being outdoors. Suffolk council have confirmed their EHC needs assessment application process can be transferred across.

We need help finding mainstream Primary schools in Bury that are SEND supportive, nurturing, have more understanding of ADHD needs, offering alternative learning provisions, or include Forest school..

Possibly a two form entry primary to separate the twins, as one form has not worked so well for us so far.

We’ve been to Bury a lot to look around and have sch tours lined up, but looking for some further info to help make decisions.

Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated. TIA

To attract people who know the area, you ideally want to mention the area in the title of your thread. So you might need to ask MNHQ to amend the title to mention Bury St Edmunds, or start a new thread.

I went to sixth form in Bury St Edmunds, but I don't know about primary schools. It's a lovely town. Good luck.
