EHCP named school decision

hello all I received my daughters draft EHCP on the 19th of feb. She's due to start school in September, I submitted my named school that evening as I'd already decided, and the school I named came to visit her in nursery last week, how long does it generally take for them to get back to you? I know school decisions are made on the 16th of April but in other peoples cases how long did it take? It's been 2 and a half weeks and I'm fully expecting at least a month but just curious

The April national offers day doesn’t apply to those with EHCPs.

If this is an existing EHCP, the primary placement should have been finalised by 15th Feb.

If this is a new first EHCP, the LA must finalise by week 20 following the EHCNA request.

Should I have a specific date the EHCP was started I can't seem to find that anywhere

For the 20 weeks deadline, the timescales start from the date the EHCNA was requested.

If you mean you already have an EHCP, the date it was finalised will be on the EHCP paperwork.

Do you have contact details for your EHCP coordinator. They will be able to give you the timescales for finalising the plan.

Don’t rely on the LA giving accurate information. LAs often try to get away with not finalising within the statutory deadlines.
