Interview in Blackheath Prep

Hi everyone!
My daughter (3 years old) will be taking a assessment for primary school Blackheath Prep. Could you tell me what they look at on this test, what they ask you to do and how difficult it is? My daughter is shy and timid, English is not her native language and I'm wondering how I can help her.

What specifically do your friends not like? Do your children study at BP? Do you have information about the assessment?

It still has a good reputation as a prep school, but the unhappiness from parents seem to be rising lately. Please check some of the other threads on the school here, especially around the Eltham College merger.

Our daughter is in her second year at Blackheath prep and when she had her assessment we were told by staff that she had done some activities like puzzles and games with the other children and then had a storytime. So nothing too difficult as far as we were able to tell. We feel very lucky to have got a place there, our daughter absolutely loves it so it was definitely a good choice for us.

The latest ISI report from 2024 has “all standards met” assessment across the board?

Thanks for your feedback. We are contemplating to send our daughter to BP in nursery from next year. Currenlty going through the addmission process. Can you please provide some more details around the pros and cons of BP which we should consider before making our final decision on BP? Many thanks.
