Hi guys,

We are thinking of the 7+ process. I wanted to reach out and gather some collective wisdom, particularly regarding the Show and Tell segment of the 7+ exams.

If your child has gone through the 7+ exam process, especially for Hampton Pre-Prep, could you please share:

  • What topic or item did your child choose for the Show and Tell?
  • How did they prepare for it?
  • Any particular reason behind choosing their topic?
  • Tips or advice on making their presentation engaging and memorable?
  • How do you feel this segment contributed to their overall exam performance?

Your shared experiences, tips, and any advice would be immensely appreciated
Thank you

We just let our son choose whatever he wanted to he took a Chelsea football! Many others took lego bits and obviously some parents had decided for time and brought models of the Eiffel Tower etc which I wouldn’t have imagined would have even first choice! We didn’t prepare anything other than asking why he’d picked it and he said because he loved football and Chelsea! He got in and received lovely feedback and is there now.

I honestly wouldn’t think too much - it’s an opportunity for a child to talk about something they’re interested in and start a conversation.
