We now have a moving date and after speaking to the admissions department the following schools have spaces in the two years we need:

Shiphay
Sherwell Valley
Watcombe
Our lady of the angel
Priory
Cockington

And St Marychurch has availability for the youngest (eldest will be off to secondary this year so more important to make sure we make the right long term choice for the youngest)

Does anyone have any local knowledge of these school and if we should consider them or not?
Both children quite naturally academic and hopefully aiming for the grammars at secondary.
The schools all sound wonderful on their websites so it's difficult to judge!

Do you know where you will be living? Local school/ journey times would be a huge factor in my choice. A good school in a close catchment is a better choice than a good school with a miserable seven year long commute.
