I would greatly appreciate some insight into both schools as we are deciding between the two. TIA!

UCS is great 😊 my son goes there we are super happy
Habs is probably more pushy
I would take the closest one to where you live

Agree- think about where you live and the school run plus play dates and parties, sports fixtures etc. Both are great schools.

Thank you, appreciate you responses.

We actually live in the middle of both so distance is not an issue. They are both very different schools and wanted to get more of an idea in both.

UCS boys every time. They have much better pastoral support.

I can say UCS is very good in managing different boys personalities. Any small issues is taken very seriously. The pre prep is definitely fast paced probably more than Highgate pre prep, but it is also very nurturing. Also despite the not ideal location the boys love it and in reception they feel the school like a nursery extension. They also go twice a week to the senior school/ fields and feel very connected to the older UCS boys.

I have a son at the pre prep, he and we really love it. While the site might be small it's really warm and friendly and they get the use of the UCS fields and the senior school facilities ( inc swimming). It is academic but in a fun nurturing way.

Thank you all, I wonder if anyone has any firsthand experience at Habs that they wouldn’t mind sharing. Thank you

Hi @MarthaHubbard what did you end up choosing? I actually went to Habs but I find on my visits to UCS the pre prep was so nurturing and you got such a nice feeling (and academically results wise at least to GCSE seem very comparable, A levels Habs is above). Our DS is sporty so my concern was really facility trade off. Also UCS is 15mins, Habs is 40mins (or coach stop 7mins).
