City Junior 7+ waitlist

Hi there, Does anyone know if the waitlist for City Junior (7+) moves at all? Or is it that everyone who has not been offered a place is put on a reserve list?
Keen to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

@Comingfromthesouth my son did not get it UCS from the waiting list, but was invited to take 8+ which also did not get. (only a small number of places available for 8+).
