I hope you're all doing well! I'm reaching out to the seasoned lunchbox packers for a bit of advice and inspiration. My 8-year-old wants to start taking a packed lunch to school and I am struggling with planning around this new morning task.

I'm sure many of you can relate – the struggle to come up with easy-to-make and nutritionally balanced lunches is real! Every day it feels like I stumble upon a new article warning against something else.

So, here's where I could use your wisdom. What are some go-to lunchbox ideas that strike the right balance between being kid-friendly, easy/quick to prepare, and, of course, healthy?

Thanks a bunch :)

Just some ideas.

DSs’ school doesn’t have a kitchen. Packed lunches make me want to weep. However….

Wrap (salami or ham or cheese or cold roast from Sunday lunch)
Frube (frozen in summer)
Cucumber
Sliced up apple
Mini tomatoes

Once a week there is a sausage roll each.

Went through a period of making pasta salad with a spoonful of tomato sauce intended as pizza topping.

Mine takes pasta in a thermos funtainer. I batch cook it and put one in the fridge overnight and heat it up in the morning. We usually have three kinds to rotate through.
