In Walthamstow ! Couldn’t edit topic sorry

does anyone have a kid their currently? I’d love to know what people think. It’s huge (6 forms) which doesn’t bother me from my child’s perspective- I think she will have lots of options for friends and understand they keep the year groups quite separate but I worry that there might not be too much of a Parent community because of the size.

spoke to a few people who have kids at the older bridge site who weren’t v happy for various reasons and considering transferring to St Mary’s but we feel like that school might be a bit too pushy/academic for our girl who is bright but summer-born.

Would just love to hear some opinions, good or bad. We are prioritising ease as we have two children and so distance-wise it would likely be there or St M’s.

There’s hundreds os primary schools of that name in the UK. What town is this one in?

It’s a 6 form entry primary school? 180 kids a year?

@Soontobe60 yep! I think it's the second biggest primary school in the UK or something. It's quite daunting sounding but actually they have two different buildings so it's broken up and the kids do meal/playtimes spread out. The school itself is "outstanding" (for the second time, ofsted visited last year). Part of me likes the size- I went to a tiny school and it wasn't always a great.

@jadey1991 thank you, that’s great to hear. I’m really interested to hear from people currently there too though as I know schools can change quite a lot in the space of 3-5 years. They had another recent offsted report which was outstanding but I guess I want to know more about the current culture, how they nuture individuals/look after well-being etc. it’s lovely to hear you rated it though too!

My nephew is in year 4. He loved it there. It's very multi cultural, teachers are lovely. They have loads of activities during lunch time. I can safely say that the children are well looked after. Any issues raised with the school are dealt with in a timely manner.
