Hi, yes my daughter done both. She had offer from both and preferred Blackheath High after the taster day. She is super happy and doing great academically.

Test started about 9am - it was maths test and they asked girls to draw a family pic and write a essay about their family. After the test my daughter attended current BHS year 2 classroom and she read a book there with current BHS girls to the teacher. She also spent time in the playground in the break time. And I think we picked her up around 11-11:30am. - We also met the BHS year 3 teacher and head on the test day. After we accepted offer they also invited her taster day in June. We loved the process and after the assessment day my daughter straight away said that she wanted to join Blackheath High Junior. She settled so quickly and easy because she knew about the school, teachers and her classmates before she joined. She also had offers from Blackheath Prep, Eltham College, Colfes and St Dunstans. But, the other schools said they only invite children to taster day if they pay the deposit. What I love about the Blackheath High Junior is there is no unhappy student there - all girls are so friendly and kind x

Thank you so much for the insight ! Did your daughter find Eltham college ok ? We saw the full list of items expected and they said need to be 12-16 months ahead . The maths test is oral adminstered but I was ‘r sure if that means they just read out the questions but still let them read . Do you know if the English language pack has comprehension , grammer and dictation?

realistically - not think is feasible to teach 16 months ahead materials !
