Habs boys vs Highgate

Hey Mums,

How do you choose between habs boys and Highgate?
Both are great schools, location not a constraint.
We are moving to London soon and will take up place according to school.

Was anyone in similar situation and can help what was the factor in choosing one of these ?

Thanks

I'd suggest getting the offers first before overly thinking it. Both v selective, particularly Highgate with its huge number of applicants.

I'm not going to say anything you probably don't know.

  • academics are top notch at both
  • one is in London. One less so...
  • one is boys only, the other is coed
  • both have incredible facilities
  • one has a slightly more diverse student body while another skews to fewer ethnicities

@would def prefer a diverse school. We don't know how long we will be in London. not more than 5 years for sure ! In that case I would go for a diverse school in all the sense. Which one do you feel is the right choice !

Not really overthinking but keeping all the scenarios in mind so that we are ready for the decision as soon as we get the offer. Lot of other logistics involve and we will have to make the decision in a day.

Thanks

IF you get the offer. I genuinely hope you do but please don't make it a case of when but rather IF. I've seen too many parents get upset about this... If I was lucky enough to have the choice I'd choose Highgate based almost exclusively on location and seemingly more diverse student body. You cannot go wrong with either!

habs Boys is not strictly single sex any more. The girls’ school is next door and they are gradually doing more activities together.
