Rokeby School vs Ibstock place

Hi I’m looking for feedback on these schools for DS’s 7+. I’ve seen both schools & like them for different reasons but it’s hard to gauge how academic they are. Would be grateful to hear for other’s experiences or feedback on each schools offering & actual support/prep during 11/13+.

DS is a bright, academic, maths, science, football loving kid. He tries really hard & is slightly sensitive/introverted in the wrong environment. I thought I would want to send him to one of the super selective London thru schools, but I’m now thinking he needs a more nurturing/smaller academic school with the idea of trying those schools at 11+/13+. Ideally we’d choose one of the above schools to minimize 7+ exams. I’ve heard that 13+ may be obsolete in the future so it’s to know which school will best prepare?

thank you mumsnet :)

I don't think you'd get any 11+/13+ support at Ibstock as they'd expect you to go to their Senior School.
Rokeby is more of a traditional Prep School. Very different schools!
