Hornsby House

Hello

We are thinking of putting our DS into Hornsby House at reception next year. He is new to the country and is just settling in. Does anyone have any feedback regarding how the school is in general particularly academics?

I have lots of friends around Balham and they are in agreement that HH has a wonderful reputation. Seems like a lovely school with a real family feel.

Academically how does the school perform, any idea about it?

Am sure the leavers’ destinations will give you a good idea of academics. The school has a reputation for kind and caring children.

They stress that they aren't a hothouse and we found that to be true. Our child absolutely loved it there and made great friends, but left at 7+ for one of the "big three" boys' schools (WUS/SPJS/KCS) -- Hornsby really didn't prepare him for that at all.
