Colfes Junior or St Olaves prep

Looking for our little one to start reception next year.

Both schools same distance away and 8/10 min drive. Although Colfes likely to be more like 20/25 mins in morning rush hour.

Does anyone have any experience with either?

We loved the caring atmosphere at St Olaves Prep, and the 11+ pass rate is great, plus quite a few going off to other independent secondaries. It is a lot smaller and seemed more gentle and homely than Colfes.

But Colfes has great facilities and the fact they can stay on all the way to 18 so not needing to do 11+ is very appealing! It's not an automatic pass to seniors but apparently most do (if they want to).

Class sizes at St Olaves Prep are 16 Vs 20 at Colfes.

Thoughts anyone?

We did go for it. Happy so far.

He's had some trouble settling in and they've been very supportive.
