Hi all, We recently moved to the Streatham Hill/West Norwood area and we're starting to look for a primary school for our son. We recently went for a tour at Hitherfield, having heard good things about it, but the tour was a bit... meh.
The Head was nice and said the right things, but the lessons seems less than inspiring. Reception age children were doing music lessons with a video; and in a dance class one little girl got kind of told off for going on the floor to be a snake, when they were meant to be walking around being snakes (ugh).
Then in the older classes, it seemed fairly dull and uninteractive.
My husband says that that's just what school is like, so maybe I need to shift my expectations. But it would be great to hear if anyone has advice about this or any other school in the area. Julians (both sites), Dunraven (the buildings are very off-putting to me), or possibly Henry Cavendish (Dingley).
All thoughts are welcomed! Thanks
