Prep School Commute

Hello all,
So we’ve been offered a place at a really lovely prep school in Oxfordshire (in the countryside) that we know our child would thrive at, but one issue is commute. It would be 40 minutes. We’re looking at another prep school which feeds into Wellington and is a 15 minute drive from the house.

The reason we looked at the first school I should add is because we thought we’d be living close by, but obviously this may not be the case.
We do like both schools and feel he’d be happy in either one.

DS would be starting in reception so do you feel that is too far each day? Thank you!

I would go for the closer school. That's a long commute for reception. Also a lot of driving for you.

Thank you! We really love that first school but would rather he was happy first and foremost. I think maybe as he is older the commute would work better.
