Free on-line children's dictionary........does such a thing exist???

DS1 has homework to look up his "silent letter" words and write down what they mean.....no problem except I've just realised that the book which DS2 recently destroyed was our only dictionary (we have Enlglish-Latin, English-German, English-Shona and various other ones)...

I've said we can look them up online but the only dictionary I know of online is dictionary.reference.com which is a bit too "old" for him really........

onelook.com has access to loads of dictionaries if that's any help
