DD1 had homework.....

3 6 5 7 9
It had questions like add the sum to the product of all the even numbers then get the sqaure root of the answer.
Sum, im guessing is add up,
What is Product?
Got the Square Root and the Even bit

Product is the answer you get from multiplying.

product is the answer when you've added together the even numbers isn't it?

(it's all right DS1 came home from school in YR1 and proudly announced "we've been learning about Ordinal numbers" WTF - I was totally bamboozled until he explained what they were LOL).

I think the product is when you multiply them but there is only one even number so I don't know what you would multiply it with.

Just random numbers they were sorry..so product is...?

the answer of the adding up I think.....

5 and 6 actually were the lowest numbers it asked you to find the sum, then the product.

oh - pass then LOL.

sum = add them up
product = multiply them

Sum - add them
Product - multiply them

as stealth says - product is answer when you multiply

I asked if she wasnt listening in class, why she didnt know what the words meant.
Gonna ask teacher later actually.
DD1 claims shes never done the sort of stuff they set for homework? Surely that cant be right?
So 5 add 6 = 11 it would be then 11 times 11?
This is what dd1 was saying....ok its 11 but what do I times it by? I guessed itself?

Wouldn't it be 5 + 6 = 11

and 5 x 6 = 30

Oh i dont know lol!
