Hello,
I decided over the summer to move my children to a different school, they are in Yr 4 and 6. Reasons for this was the school is in our village that we recently moved too and the feeder secondary school is alot better plus my child wanted to go to that one aswell, so wasn't just my thoughts etc.
Anyway to put it blunt they both hate it. They've been there nearly 2 weeks ( I know it's only a short time but was expecting slight improvement) they both want to go back, miss their friends etc. Etc. I want to give it til half term but I don't think they'll last that long. They're so miserable it's killing me.
Also I've been offered a job, a good job at that, which means my husband would have to do the school run, he can't get there in time to collect them but could if they went back to their old school.
So what I'm asking is what would you do? I know if I tell them they can go back they'll be so happy but at the same time I moved them for a reason so surely I should stick it out longer?
I thought about emailing the old head teacher to let her know what's going on and my thoughts etc.
I'm so torn as to what I should do. I think about nothing else.
Advise please!!!
