Book week - have just realised that as I am in school on Friday...

I should dress up (all the kids are).

I am parent helper btw not teacher, but all the teachers dress up.

No-one will mind if I don't but I quite fancy it anyway - but what can I go as?

I thought WBD was on Thursday?

oh well it probably is but we do the dress up thing on the last day of the week, as we have a week of activities of various kinds.

Ooh don't know Miss Honey. Like Winnie the Witch tho (or maybe the Worst Witch).

Toyed with character from my fave book (hmm s/one from the Great Gatsby/Wuthering Heights?) but prob wasted on the kids.

Needs to be easy y'see as am exhausted by ingenuity of coming up woth outfit for Amy the Amethyst Fairy....

I've been trying to pursuade my son to be Archie from Balamory but he refuses!!

Could have so much fun with a kilt, curly hair, specs and pink jumper but no!

Have just been brainstorming myself on the bus and I too thought of Room on the Broom.
Kids are 4-5-6-7 but mostly 4 tbh.

I wondered about something prop-tastic like Bella from Dogger, Dave?s big sister who has lots of teddies or maybe ooh how about me going as Harry and the dinosaurs?

The witch (black cape, black hat from dr up box) is a fab fallback. Except I have no black clothes in my wardrobe. Long ginger plait (room on broom) would be easy enough, no?

Any other thoughts in hopeful morning bump?
