Grimsdell Mill Hill opinions

Hi everyone,
We've got an assessment for the school but have heard mixed reviews about the academic standards. We were wondering if anyone could share their opinion of the school please

Mill Hill (where they end up unless leave at 11+) is known for being very sporty and one of the less academic of the N London private schools. If you search this forum for 'Mill Hill' there are loads of threads. I really like Belmont as a junior school, and the head who I thought was lovely and would be very good with my shy child, but turned it down because didn't want Mill Hill as a senior.

Like PP said, generally Belmont has an excellent reputation but a lot of people don't want Mill Hill.

out of interest why do a lot of people not want Mill Hill?

I think there's the feeling that if you're paying that sort of money, you'd want the academic results to be a bit better. Great school for a sporty kid who isn't particularly academic.
