School reference for Westminster Under School / SPJS 8+

Hello,

My son is applying for Westminster Under School and St Paul's Junior for 8+ entry.

They will contact his current school for a reference.

Does anyone know what they ask, and what they will expect to see? E.g is it a specific format, set of questions, academic data etc?

We live overseas and want to let his school know what to expect, (and how much we need to prime them!).

Sorry I don't know exactly but to bump your post up I can say that your ds will have needed to pass the first exam and attend an in person assessment before they turn to the reference so the contents won't that that much bearing on the outcome.

If you read through the previous 8plus threads you will gain lots of info re what they are looking for but do remember for 8plus there aren't many places and a lot of the applicants will have sat the 7plus so know what to expect.
