Hello all,
Looking to move to Richmond/Sheen area in near future and seeking Year 3 entry for DS. Ds very academic but introverted and shy, currently at pre-prep but need to plan for if he does not get into private at 7+ on a bursary (am single parent). The above schools have been recommended to me, any views from those whose kids attend please? Thank you !

My son was in Year 4 of Marshgate last year and the class teacher Miss C was absent for over half of the school year, the class was swung between numerous substitute teachers without parent meetings to follow up with the progress. Miss C was back all the sudden for the last two months before summer holiday, with no knowledge about the children's progress, still no parent meeting, but released a 'year end report' about my son which I found inaccurate.
Throughout the year the parents have been communicating with Headteacher Mr. B expressing concerns, no remedial measure observed.
Marshgate is still a good school in the area, it's unfortunate that the quality of school governance and some teaching staff are in question.

@juliepiantaylor sorry to hear about your sons experience there. Useful to know though, so thank you for sharing

@juliepiantaylor - did you end up moving schools for your son? How have the more recent months been and was this at all acknowledged by the school as a "learning reflection"? Thanks for sharing! We are considering Marshgate, Sheen Mount, and Vineyard but Marshgate will be the closest to us so keen to follow updates/reviews closely in the coming year.
