Does anyone have any recent feedback related to these schools and particularly how they might support more struggling learners at KS2? Thanks

They are quite far away from each other so it would be unusual to be in catchment for both. Heard good things about both but not sure re struggling dc. Friends at Telferscot were happy with intervention. Problem is SEN budgets have been slashed in schools.

I wouldn’t go to Telferscot for SEND. The SENDCO is lovely but class teachers are really variable in their understanding and willingness to do some reading around a child’s needs and make adjustments.

Ravenstone is where you want to be for SEND

Yep, I’ve heard that Ravenstone is amazing.

This is just typical of people's opinions - all different. I think all budgets have been slashed everywhere. However lots have left HC and to go to Telferscot for SEND reasons- yet someone else says don't go there.

You need to make enquiries and find out from schools what they can do. And consider all schools around as per above.

To be fair , Telferscot sent something out this week about staff training on SEND next year. It’s good they recognise a gap and are working on supporting their staff.
