Nursery at Swiss Cottage

Good afternoon all. It feels like I understand the school system now but still totally confused about choosing a nursery for my 3 year old. Any good nursery you can please recommend around Swiss Cottage? I see Swiss Cottage nursery, Keren nursery, Bright Horizons, some Montessori options. How do I choose (or should I consider being lucky just to get a place somewhere?) Are there any options which allow to go on to a primary school (ideally, a state one)?

Reception is a formal point of entry in a state school, which means that places have to be applied for by everyone who wants one, and applicants ranked according to the Admissions policy of the school if it is oversubscribed - no just 'moving on' directly from even a nursery which is part of the primary / infant school. Commercial nurseries may speak of themselves as a 'feeder' to a particular desirable state primary, but where lots of DC from the nursery do go on to a given state primary school, it will be because their address / sibling status / Church attendance of the parents or whatever puts them high enough up the school's ranked list of criteria to get in, not the 'magic spell' of having attended a particular nursery which anyone can attend from anywhere.

(Absolutely no idea about the merits of any nursery in the London area, though, sorry).
