If your child swims at school..

If your child's school has a pool, and they swim at school,What is the changing room situation like?
Are there cubicles? Open room? Do staff wait inside? Outside?

I don't mean if the school takes the kids to a local pool. Specifically if the school has its own pool.

An open plan changing room. One for boys and one for the girls.

Staff hover by the doors and are in and out as needed.

Staff member, plus a parent helper were inside the changing room when they were in Infants.

Like HazyDragon, one big room for girls and one big room for boys. No cubicle, no lockers, just benches, which is not great because stuff will fall on the floor and get wet. DSD’s skirt was still wet at pick up.

yes, pool at school and open changing room for boys and girls, staff pop in as needed. and yes, usually wet uniform is put on after dropping on the floor. grim.

My DD has her swimming lessons at another school which has their own pool. There's separate changing rooms for boys and girls, only staff of the same sex can go in each changing room. No cubicles, just benches with pegs over.

Like the majority, open changing rooms; one for girls and another for boys. Pegs over benches, no cubicles and just a couple of showers which they don't use after school lessons.

They ask children to bring in an extra smaller towel to stand on while they get ready which helps keep clothes dry (although still put everything straight in the wash on swim day as don't even want to think about what its touched!)

I think they just change in the classroom at my dc’s school. It isn’t a very big school anyway

At my kids’ school: Open changing room with benches round the edge. Parent helpers when they were little-staff member floating around.

At my school-they got changed in the classroom, boys and girls together-like they do for PE.
