Please someone give me some ideas for a Y5 Science project - something fun and simple as we've got to condense it into one day.

Was thinking of preparing something fun and interesting on a big white board - but what??? We did magnets and crystals last year, so they're out, and she'll also have to elaborate on her project, so things like capilliaries are out too.

Or - bad mother alert - since I've been in and out of Outpatients like a fiddlers elbow all this week and have hardly seen the poor darlings, do you think the teacher would accept an apology note? Although I'm not sure dd would let me get away with that....

Your inspired thoughts please.

Found this If you scroll down there looks quite interesting stuff about why the sky is blue and about spectrums and mixing colours.

Life cycles are fun too, maybe frogs, butterflies, rain even.

Thanks so much TC, though I suspect that might be a bit much for her to assimilate in a day. Why can't I find stuff like that?

Just google 'easy science projects' or words to that effect.

SpacePuppy's ideas are good too .

There is a mnetter who is a science teacher...is it matianbishop? Hopefully she'll see this.
