Heathside Prep Hampstead

Hello! Interested to hear views from parents with kids currently or recently at Heathside Prep in Hampstead. I understand it is under new(ish) ownership and just would be good to get views on academics, pastoral care, community and vibe, how the kids fare with the small playground and generally if kids are happy, achieving their potential and successfully moving onto their next schools. Thanks so much!!

We've got a friend with a daughter there. They've liked it. Some grumbles this year as they've had to cut some things to balance the books but by an large it's been a positive experience I think. It seems like quite a special place but they do the 11+ quite intensely.

Our child is very happy at Heathside. The teachers are kind and nurturing. Although the playground is small they go to the Heath regularly. It’s a lovely school where children seem to thrive.

Friend has a child just leaving at the end of Y6 - she has been very happy there.

I've been looking at this school but heard rumours of a mass exodus of staff and pupils on the grapevine... Not sure how that's playing out?

@GoldersGal There's a new head that joined in Jan, so there's normally a restructure with that. Not sure about kids leaving though, I only know one child there and they seem happy. There may well be kids leaving, not sure though. With their class sizes even a couple leaving would feel like a lot I would imagine.
