Barnes Farm Chelmsford

Hi. I’m moving to Chelmsford and have been offered a place in year 3 for my Dd at barnes farm. It wasn’t my first choice and now I’m in a panic as I don’t have any knowledge of this school.
ive also considered some of the private schools in the area but the reviews are putting me off.

any recommendations?

Hi OP, a Google search of the school named above brought me here. I realise you posted a while ago so may not hear back but I’m in the same position as you now as moving to Chelmsford soon and this is the school I have been offered - did your DD attend Barnes Farm and what are your thoughts? Or did you go elsewhere?

Hi. We actually ended up with a last minute place in a school closer to where we live. However I did visit the school and my daughter did a settling in morning there. It did seem good and they made a lot of effort to try to help my daughter with settling in. I’d go and have a look. I’d have been happy with the school except for the distance to get there as we’d have had to drive there and back each day.

Ahh that’s amazing you got a school place closer to where you live. The school in our catchment area is oversubscribed and has a long waiting list so I’ll definitely check this one out and book a visit. Thank you for getting back to me.
