Would this be any good for my 6 yo (year 2) ds? He is fine at reading, but his spelling and handwriting are completely terrible. So much so that he will struggle a lot in the writing part of the KS1 SATs. He just can't eem to get things written down, and reading the Valentine cards () he got from girl in his class made me want to weep, and not just becaue he is 6 and getting Valentines cards .

So - I think I've seen this recommended.
Or is there something ele others have found useful?

Off to Parents Evening in a mo - with a bit of a inking feeling - back later.

My 's' key is unreliable and needs to be thumped. Excuse my spelling!

Yes!

Ds used it, he has dyspraxia, but in the introduction it makes it clear that it is helpful for all children in imroving pen/pencil control and writing.

you can get it on amazon

Write from the start is a lot of work, but it has really helped my son.

I bought it after seeing it recommended on here. It's very good.

Marvellous!

Am back from parents evening, and the main target is....

And he also needs to up hi output, and I rather suspect that might be related to the fact he still doesn't manage to control his pencil.

Off to Amazon now...

we started doing this with ds2 in the summer - poor fine motor skills, terrible pencil grip, unstable shoulder, low muscle tone - all meaning handwriting was difficult and painful - and barely legible

we haven't finished it, but the difference he's made in just a few months is astounding - he's now doing proper joined-up writing and although he's still slow it's light-speed compared to what it was

Fab.

Have ordered it now.
