Atom learning for general tuition

Hello all, we will be returning to the U.K. after being overseas for the past few years. Our son will be starting year 4. I was considering signing up for Atom learning for general revision/tutoring to help get used to the British system again. I know people typically use Atom for exam preparation, can anyone confirm if it is useful for general additional consolidation of learning, or if it’s only for exam prep? Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

It covers the curriculum, so yes it would help. Just do the English and math. The verbal and non verbal are for the exams.

I find it quite useful for general learning as well. My DC started to use it from Y4 to consolidate learning and haven't used mock tests yet. They provide lots of learning data, such as curriculum covered and mastery scores in each subject (and breakdown into topics). Kid is motivated by the gamification design and adult (me, as a data-driven person) likes that I can monitor progress.

They offer 5-day free trial, so no harm to have a try to see if you like it.

Just some updates regarding using Atom:

DD was in complete holiday mode during the summer holiday abroad, and it took her a while to switch back to academic mode this term. Have used Atom regularly this term and we are delighted to see the latest standardized results - made progress in all the 4 subjects tested in school. Her school used NFER standardized scores, and she got highest scores for reading and math, and roughly top 2% or 3% for spelling and grammar. Not sure about VR and NVR (no formal tests), but she pretty enjoys doing them.
