with the first half of my family the car kitchen walls were always full of dark blue painted rice krispie boxes..the paint soaking wet barely dry ..l empty loo rolls toppling atop the sculpture attached with both sellotape and lashings of white sticky glue

the second half of the family.... nada

the odd perfectly made firework or calendar - perfectly made on matching card to the other 31 classmates

is it just our school or is this a 'Nationwide Loss'?

we have less now that dd1 is in Yr 2, prior to this she came home nightly with her 'creations'.

DD2 - not interested, although I still load her teacher with the insides of kitchen rolls, tape, all manner of stuff which I know is used by other kids..

ds is almost 5 and come home from pre-school with a junk model most days

he raids our recycling box on an almost daily basis for junk...i even pop non-recyclable things in there for him to discover

Have noticed the perfectly made thing. Ds brought perfect drawing of a giraffe home from reception. I was very impressed, but much as I would like to believe he is prodigiously artistically talented, he has never shown any signs of it at home. I praised it to the skies and asked if it was all his own work and he looked at me like I was nuts and said "of course not mummy, Mrs TA drew the bits I wasn't sure of".

DS2 brought home a guitar the other day, and there's a robot on display in class as well.

DD made a fab room in a house last year. It's an FS/yr 1 type thing then I think.

We have a little Tudor house DD made last year and a volcano DS made for geography last September when he started secondary school.

We had a kitchen-roll-pringles-tube-masking-tape 'elephant home' last week. Poor elephant didn't get a very good deal as the two parts of his or her home had detached themselves before we got to the end of the school drive and have been in a heap on the conservatory window sill ever since.

Sorry, there was only one elephant home!
