Classlist

Does anyone have any experience of the app Classlist? We have disparate social media groups, a PTA that relies on plain text messages and was reduced to printing a newsletter last term. The website makes it sound like the solution to all our problems. I'm not sure though.

Our school has it and everyone dutifully signed up at the start of reception. Then of course class WhatsApp groups got set up and classlist has never once been used. I’d forgotten about it until I read this tbh! It’s a good idea, the ability to message the class or the whole year group, but I can’t see anyone using it over WhatsApp.

Oh and PTA newsletter is sent out by email.

Thanks @TheChoiceIsYours . That's fairly damning! It was my biggest worry.

We had this before WhatsApp took off - it was a right pain, too many posts & advertising. Everyone uses WhatsApp now - our PTA post to year groups.

I wouldn't bother with a newsletter as it often replicates what is said in WhatsApp. We get so many from school - I don't need another email.

We have it, not really used.

Same here - even the school administrator who set it up doesn't use it anymore!
