is it normal to get a report before open night??

Hi, my dd is in reception and has open night tomorrow. Got letter two weeks ago saying reports would be given out prior to open night.
Really bitched because i cannot attend due to work, and would have liked to go thro report with dh before he goes to meeting.

Do they mean that same day then? We have ours coming home next tuesday and the parents evening is the next night

Every school I have worked at/sent my kids to has had parents evening in the autumn and spring terms and a report in the summer term only, you go and see the staff in the summer only if there is something you want to discuss.
