Year 4 Occassional places how to prepare

Hi Mums/Dads,
My DD is 8 years old has been offered a occasional place to a good Independent school in Year 4. We have no idea how to prepare as she has never appeared in such exams. She went to just one school since nursery. Recently the school told us she is very bright and then next day we received this email.

We would like her to at least have a chance to see if she gets a place but the exam is in 15 days. I have no idea how to prepare for this.

Thank you for any advice you may have.

Has she been offered the place or just to sit an exam? Are there any vacancies if so?

What format is the test?

Thank you for replying. She has been offered to sit for an exam. The format is 7+ but we have not been preparing her at all as I was not expecting any spaces left for year 4.

I would look online at schools that do 7+ and see what they kids need to know. Make sure she knows what is going to be covered. If she comes from state school, you might need to catch her up. My dc are from state school and it is a year behind. My eldest just did 11+ and got into an academic selective private secondary.
