Maths reasoning and word problems books - Year 4

Hi,

My dd is in year 4 and is struggling with the word problems. I tried searching books online so can do some practice at home but can't find many that are good.

Any suggestions about any good books or any material i can download or perhaps can take a subscription and download material from there.

Any advice much appreciated

I use the maths, algebra and English for my year 4 DD who struggles a bit. They are very easy to use. There's a verbal reasoning one too, and assessment papers if you fancy. Also an online element but I've never bothered with that.

Can get them individually on amazon for about £6.

Try White Rose Maths, they have a parents section which you can download books from and the problems in there are word based.

I used to use NRich website for extensions and problem solving lessons

White rose and N rich definitely and also possibly oak academy but haven’t looked at those yet myself

Oh and if their school isn’t using Maths no problem then those are good books, but check because if school are using them it won’t expand her knowledge in the same way. You could start a year or two below on those to build the skills
