If so, can you tell me how long the gap was since the previous inspection?

June 2003 + this term. That's just under 5 years.

Have a look on the Ofsted website - a lot havnt been done since 2004.

smartiejake · 09/02/2008 16:48

It's supposed to be around 3 years between ofsteds. More often for schools in serious weaknesses and special measures

roisin · 09/02/2008 17:50

Thanks. I've been looking on the website and all the local schools have been 'done' since my boys' primary was.

So I guess they are well and truly due a visit.

We were done 2 years ago, but the head and deputy work on the basis that we'll be done again in the next year to 18 months.

SorenLorensen · 09/02/2008 20:13

Ours was done a fortnight ago - last time was 2004.

roisin · 09/02/2008 22:09

Hope it goes well for you Celia2

3 years, even when school is judged outstanding in all areas. Much less focus on the classrooms this time, more on the SMT.

TheFallenMadonna · 13/02/2008 20:34

Three years. But the lastest was only a one day inspection focusing on specific areas.

Nymphadora · 13/02/2008 20:54

New ofteds are more into SMT than classrooms now
