Prep Schools in Beckenham

Hi all,
Just starting to look at schools for my DD. I was really impressed with the talk I had with the head at St Christopher’s the Hall in Beckenham, and we loved the facilities and feel of the place. Feel nurturing and very child centred. Am new to the area and wanted to get some advice about other options or whether I am on the right track!

We have a little one in reception at SCTH and absolutely love the school and the head! Depending on catchment we also loved Clare House, but weren’t close enough for a place (the catchment is absolutely tiny after siblings are accounted for). Hope that helps.

Thank you so much. Have been in to chat to the Head and felt he was really forward thinking and had all pupils best interest at its heart. Felt so different from hothouses in some other schools we have looked at. It’s great to hear your feedback seeing as you are actually in the school. Really helpful!

Agree with your views, SCTH is about polishing the individual child’s talents and passions, which makes it quite unique compared to many prep schools. We were drawn to the teaching of discrete subjects, which we felt there wasn’t lots of provision for in other settings we viewed. Best of luck with your application!

I know this has been a bit since this was an post, but in case others read. I honestly could be happier with the school. Best decision we ever made. My DD is so happy and the care she gets is fantastic. I also like how it is a community and it feels that they are treated as individuals and the Head knows everyone and their personalities! Very impressive
