dd1 (year 3) is now off her IEP and no longer requiring extra help. she has 'blossomed' in school and her teacher thinks she is working well and progressing well.

dd2 (reception) teacher is also impressed with dd2. says she is working well through phonics, steaming through them, writing well, and is very smiley and happy throughout most of the day. but dd2 does worry over the small stuff a bit, which is fine, i'm gladf she is worrying over little things now and not the bigh thing we were all worrying about last year.

i am a happy mummy. and very proud.

Hi misdee-no one seems to have replied so I thought I would say 'well done' to your dds. It is a lovely feeling as a mother to know that they are happy and blossoming.

WendyWeber · 07/02/2008 21:55

I didn't even know DD1 had an IEP!

That's great news, misdee - your girls are lovely!

misdee · 07/02/2008 22:01

dd1 had been on an IEP since year 1 when we moved schools, that was a tough choice ,peter was in hospital at the time recovering from the lvad op, and i had been advised it was the wrong time to be making her move schools, but it was the right choice, as she has progressed so well since being there.

i am feeling very calm now about school as know they have both settled down well.

i think the transplant has really helped dd1 focus and work to her best of ability, as she now longer worries so much.
