Has anyone got any experience of in year admissions in Kent. We don't have a place to live at the moment so we are free to move basically anywhere in the North of Kent(we need to be near to London for husbands job) but there is nothing available in any school that I have rang. I've tried maidstone, faversham, west malling, and some areas of rochester.

Has anyone got any experience of getting your kids in to school through the Kent County Council. Did you have to put your child in a school far away, home school. I'm freaking out here!!! Please help.

Once you have an address in the area, Kent LA will have an obligation to find you a place, but it may not be at a school of your choice or a particularly close one. If over 2 miles, you will get free transport for your child.

Hello Everyone,
My daughter recently passed the Kent 11+ exam with a score of 366. We applied under the “out of county” category and are planning to move to Kent in July 2026(husband is retiring from service) so that she can start secondary school smoothly. we were thinking of applying as a top priority for Highworth Girls Grammar School, which is about a 7-minute drive from our new home. Could you please advise on her chances of securing a place at the school with this score?

Her score won't affect admissions, check their admissions policy. For most children it comes down to distance from their home at the time of application.
